Hazard Risk Databases

Proxix offers a variety of valuable databases that when used in CATUM or other GIS provide insurance companies critical information for risk management.

Florida Sinkhole

Florida has more sinkholes that any other state. Proxix Florida Sinkhole risk model allows insurers to accurately assess a policy location for sinkhole risk. Going beyond simply illustrating existing sinkholes, Proxix scientists built the Florida Sinkhole risk model using detailed geographic and geological data, and incorporated bedrock geology, elevation, and surface materials (soils) to determine the relative potential for sinkhole loss.

Hail

For many P&C companies, the largest single loss in total claims is hail. As an unpredictable threat of a thunderstorm, hail can cause serious damage to homes and automobiles. Proxix Hail Risk database was modeled on the probability of a hail event occuring in a very granular grid cell for accurate risk determination.
